Finally I found time from work and life to create my own blog to share some part of my thoughts, things I am reading, learnings etc.
I always admired people with their own blog sharing awesome stuff. I want to try blogging too.
My plan for the blog:
- For now mostly write about tech. and product development
- Keep blogs short and to the point so it's quick to read whenever possible.
- Keep things practical, real and zero fluff.
- Self host
- Why? just for fun it's been a while I operated a VPS. While auditing security for the server I learnt new things like SYN cookies, fail2ban etc. While creating VPS setup for this blog I also created a reusable shell script that bootstrap any VPS and apply security practices. It was a fun exercise. (Used claude, as my bash script is rusty)
I will be adding new functionalities like whatsapp/social media notification and email newsletter so you can get notified whenever I post. I will keep things interesting. For now you can subscribe to my rss feed here https://mohitgupta.blog/rss/
